Bit about my car… I bought it 22nd October 2022 from Mathewsons (Bangers & Cash). Sadly
no history as such although I have spoken to the previous owner (he only owned it for
5/6months), who told me it was restored one or two years before he got it and parked for
several years before that, which seems correct using the DVLA MOT check as nothing from
2013 until 2021.

He didn’t use it either so I’ve had plenty of failed seals etc to contend with over past couple of
years but (fairly) happy now its reliable to use at will, other than usual winter projects.

It’s a fairly early Mk3 and has some carry over parts from the Mk2 such as the seat belts, 4
speed type F rod gearbox etc.

Having checked its build and registration dates, it has a VIN code of AA which is for build
date March 1980 and V5c registration date of 18th April 1980.

It is a matching numbers car in Rosso Red with brown interior and original Carla check
fishnet Recaros.

Bodywork seems largely original, no doubt in no small part with it being Ziebarted from new
(sticker still in rear window), and not sitting in a muddy field for months after being built
before being registered. Certainly minimal welding underneath and I’m sure front wings, sills
etc are original. That said I’m sure there will be some horrors under the shiny paint
somewhere!!!! But I’ve not found any YET.
The interior is certainly original with the desirable fishnet Recaro seats with Carla check, and
a dash that’s not cracked in usual places, original Ford turnolock stereo with cassette player
still working.
